Matthias Leitner

Fundraising Team

Matthias Leitner grew up in central Switzerland in an Austrian household and is currently studying neuroscience and psychology at the University of Geneva. As a master’s research assistant in Didier Grandjean’s NEAD Lab, he investigates predictive processing theories in the auditory cortex. Alongside his studies, he contributes to HORIZON, a stress-management intervention program conceptualized by the World Health Organization.

Beyond academia, Matthias practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, composes music in Ableton Live, and enjoys cooking wholesome meals. He is driven by two guiding questions: “How is it that I am experiencing what I am experiencing?” and “How can I have a positive impact on the world — and on myself as part of it?”
