My interest in psychedelics began alongside my psychology studies in 2018. During my bachelor’s, I explored clinical and consciousness research on psychedelic use, which developed into a broader fascination with the human brain, the altered states of consciousness these compounds can induce, and their potential to alleviate pathological states of mind. This interest led me to pursue the research master’s program in cognitive neurobiology and clinical neurophysiology within the department of Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience at the University of Amsterdam. Following the conclusion of my studies, I returned home to Geneva and explored potential avenues for participating and contributing to initiatives in the realm of psychedelics. I participated in a course on psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, which subsequently offered me the possibility to join ALPS.organizations in this field.
